30-day Print-on-Demand Challenge: Week 3
In just over two weeks, I've managed to list 30 products on Etsy for the Print-On-Demand (POD) challenge. But hey, that's just the start of my journey in building this business! 🙂
Entering Week 3, my focus shifted to learning SEO techniques to enhance my listings. This includes crafting SEO-friendly product titles, refining product descriptions, and optimising tags to boost visibility and engagement.
I've also audited my Etsy listings using eRank, leading to several impactful improvements implemented across my products.
Here are samples of the changes made on Product Titles:
Before: Monday Hates You Too Sarcastic Statement Hoodie - Sarcastic Statement Hoodie - Women Hoodie - Men Hoodie
After: Sarcastic Hoodie ‘Monday Hates You Too’ Unisex Funny Statement Hooded Sweatshirt
Before: I Just Work Here Sarcastic Long Sleeve Tee - Embroidered Sarcastic Statement Long Sleeve Tee - Women Long Sleeve Tee - Men Long Sleeve Tee
After: I Just Work Here Long Sleeve Tee - Sarcastic Embroidered Shirt - Men and Women Tee
SEO-Friendly Product Titles:
- Sarcastic Quotes Beach Towel - Funny All Over Print 24x44 Towel
- Funny Sarcastic Words Stubby Cooler - All Over Print Drink Holder
- Sarcastic Jumper I Forgot to Read Your Mind - Unisex Funny Sarcasm Sweatshirt - Back Design Graphic Sweater
The changes I made were guided by eRank’s advice:
- Prioritise Keywords: I placed important keywords at the beginning of each product title to improve search relevance.
- Opt for Phrases: Instead of single-word tags, I used multiple-word phrases to better capture search queries and improve discoverability.
- Maximise Tag Usage: I ensured to utilise the maximum number of tags allowed on Etsy for each listing, expanding the potential reach of my products across relevant categories and searches.
I am grateful to have participated in this Print-On-Demand challenge. While completing the initial goal of listing 30 products marks a significant achievement, I understand that the true journey lies in enhancing SEO and refining my marketing strategies.
As I enter the final week of the POD challenge, I remain committed to auditing my listings through eRank. I am currently deliberating whether to upgrade my plan on eRank to access advanced features or allocate those funds towards creating more offers, while simultaneously monitoring visitor statistics over the next few months.
The decision remains open-ended for now. I look forward to seeing how these choices will impact my Etsy shop's growth and success in the near future.
