Learning the Threads: Embroidery Progress

Has it already been a month?
What I set out to accomplish in July… let’s just say it was more successful in my mind than in reality. Not because I slacked off or lacked motivation—but because I’ve been learning (the hard way) that embroidery is no easy craft to master.

Yes, thread breaks are still very much a thing.

So here it is—my messy but honest recap of July for my soon-to-launch brand, Wear the Quiet:

If I had to sum up this month in one word: persistence.

I really pushed myself (cue the late-night embroidery sessions) to produce the samples I planned to give away for product testing. In the end, I managed to complete three embroidered jumpers—barely

thanks to a mix of thread breaks and colour trials that didn’t quite work out. To make it through, I had to simplify my process just to secure a win for the month.

I’m also streamlining my colour options—ditching a few jumper shades I initially considered and sticking with just two for now.

It’s progress, even if it’s messy—and I’ll take it.
