Meet the Kawaii Chick: A Quietly Cute Addition to Wear the Quiet

I’ve always been drawn to kawaii characters—the soft lines, expressive eyes, and the charm of something simple yet full of personality. Over the years, I’ve collected a few just because they made me smile.

For a while now, I’ve wanted to bring a bit of that same fun and lightness into Wear the Quiet. While the brand focuses on introverts, books, and cozy vibes, I felt like it was missing a creative element—someone (or something) that embodied our quiet way of existing in the world. That’s when the idea of a kawaii-style introvert character began to form.

I searched for the right tutorial to help me get started and landed on Tatyana Deniz’s website. Her free tutorials were incredibly helpful and full of inspiration. I quickly signed up for the free mini-course and then committed to her 21-day Kawaii Drawing Challenge.

I’m currently on Day 10, and even though I’m still early in the challenge, I already had a clear picture in mind. At first, I explored Aussie animals—koalas, wombats, and echidnas—but none of them quite matched the vibe I was going for. Then one day, I sketched a lone, introverted chick: headphones on, happy solo in her own little bubble. And I knew—this was her.

I hesitated at first—chickens are often seen as lively, social animals. But something about flipping that expectation felt perfect. She’s not shy, just selective with her energy. A little awkward. A lot relatable. A social introvert, if you will.

This chick captures the essence of Wear the Quiet: quietly cute, proudly introverted, and content doing her own thing. I already imagine her embroidered onto sweatshirts, quietly joining readers, thinkers, and overthinkers in their daily routines.
