I'm Starting My Side Hustle in 2025

For a while now, I’ve been reflecting on what it really takes to start a business. There always seems to be something missing—whether it’s a better tool, sharper design skills, or the endless excuses to “perfect” my foundation before fully diving in. The truth is, it’s so easy to fall into the trap of waiting for the perfect moment.

But here’s what I’ve come to realise: the perfect moment doesn’t exist. The truth has been staring me in the face all along—I already have everything I need to start my side hustle. I have the tools. I have the ideas. Most importantly, I have the passion that just won’t quit. The only thing holding me back? My own hesitation. It’s time to stop waiting and start doing.

What’s different this time? I’m not diving in blindly. I’ve created a solid business plan—a structured roadmap designed to guide me step by step while still allowing room for flexibility and growth. This isn’t just about crafting a few items or selling products casually. It’s about laying the groundwork for something bigger—a potential transition into a full-time business. I’m building a foundation for meaningful growth, not just a hobby.

To start the year with intention, I’m turning to an old favourite: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. This book has been a constant source of inspiration for me, offering timeless lessons about pursuing dreams, embracing the journey, and listening to your heart. I first read it years ago, and I’ve made it a tradition to revisit its pages every few years. Its message always seems to come at just the right time, and I can’t wait to let its wisdom inspire my goals for the year ahead.

This year, instead of making overly ambitious resolutions, I’m focusing on strengthening my foundation with realistic, intentional goals:
